Group Health Cooperative
Founded in 1947, Group Health is a consumer-governed, nonprofit health care system that coordinates care and coverage. Based in Seattle, Group Health and Group Health Options, Inc., serve more than 545,000 members in Washington and Idaho, including 95,000 people who live along the Eastside’s I-405 corridor. Group Health’s commercial and Medicare plans have received the top rating of “Excellent” from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA)

Group Health encompasses medical and specialty centers, a nationally recognized research center, and a charitable foundation. Group Health and Group Health Permanente (its multispecialty medical group practice) combined employ more than 9,000 staff, and is one of Washington’s largest private employers.

An innovator since its founding in 1909, Ellerbe Becket is a leader in architecture, engineering and the construction industry with office locations worldwide.

In addition to the Mayo Clinic, its health care clients have included the Shriners’ Hospitals for Children in Chicago, Northwestern [University] Memorial Hospital, MediCorp Health System in Virginia, and Walt Disney Memorial Cancer Institute in Orlando.

No stranger to the Northwest, Ellerbe Becket designed Qwest Field (home of the NFL Seattle Seahawks), and the Rose Garden (home to the NBA Portland Trailblazers), McCarthey Athletic Center (Gonzaga University’s new basketball arena), and the Spokane Arena.
