Mic Johnson, the firm's National Director of Workplace Design, is a gifted and collaborative design architect who has led the creative process on some of Ellerbe Becket’s most notable projects. His award-winning portfolio spans continents and building types, encompassing high-rise corporate office and mixed use, as well as significant healthcare and education projects. He is well respected for his ability to lead teams and interpreting client goals and objectives, and turning them into creative and visionary design solutions. Throughout his career, the majority of Mic's work has been focused in urban areas or within campus environments. He is also a professor-in-practice at the University of Minnesota's College of Design, teaching graduate-level studios that are focused on design within the urban context.
