J. Michael Florell, AIA
Principal and Project Director
Michael provides overall leadership for projects, including those where both design and construction services are to be provided by Ellerbe Becket. A 40-year industry veteran, he prepares the initial letter contract for A-E services, develops schedules for design and construction activities, takes a primary role in major presentations to executive administration/physician groups, maintains an active role in on-site design work sessions, reviews team progress and performance, facilitates cost reduction sessions when required, participates in contractual negotiations with the owner for construction services and partners with the construction project manager during construction.
