Citing "the architect's extensive experience in the design of modern sports facilities," the National Terrazzo & Mosaic Association in February awarded its 2002 design award to Conseco Fieldhouse. Judge's commented that the architects' experience showed "in the design and selection of thinset epoxy terrazzo for the flooring in the entry lobbies, stairs, and common public areas of Conseco Fieldhouse."
