
Washington, D.C. – Ellerbe Becket principal and director of healthcare Greg Chang, AIA, LEED AP has been named to the 2009 Building Design & Construction “40 Under 40” honor roll. Recognizing some of the brightest stars in the industry, BD+C editors chose these 40 young professionals from among 208 outstanding finalists.
Chang joined Ellerbe Becket as a medical planner in 1998. He was named a principal in 2004, appointed principal-in-charge of marketing for the Washington, D.C. office in 2007, and in 2008, was named the firm-wide expertise leader for healthcare, Ellerbe Becket’s largest practice area.
In this capacity, Chang directs strategic and operational decisions on a global basis. He strives to organize the best professional teams to meet the unique goals of Ellerbe Becket’s healthcare clients. He also continues to play an active project role, serving as planning principal or principal in charge for some of Ellerbe Becket’s largest and most complex healthcare projects. In particular, he has focused on the international market, academic medical centers and a variety of specialty services, including cancer centers. Project experience includes Samsung Cancer Center, University Hospital, Khalifa Orthopedic Sports Medicine Hospital and the OU Cancer Institute at the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center.
