
DALLAS, Texas – G. Frank Mills, AIA, LEED AP, has joined Ellerbe Becket’s Dallas office as a Senior Project Manager. He has 35 years of experience in architecture, project and program management.
He comes to Ellerbe Becket from an Arlington, Texas, architectural practice where he was Director of Operations. Mills has managed a variety of state, federal and private projects primarily in the medical and higher education field for clients such as the Veterans Administration, Corps of Engineers and numerous colleges and universities.

He’s directed hospital projects in 10 states, he’s worked on five university campuses and he’s received an outstanding rating from the Corps of Engineers. All are consistent with our goals and objectives for the southwest region.”
In addition to his years of experience managing operations for Dallas-Ft. Worth area architectural practices, Mills also served as a staff architect with Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. He also was national director of design & construction for American Healthcare Management, Inc., where he gained valuable insight into the owner’s perspective while leading program management for 27 hospital projects.
Additional career highlights include leading a team of architects that won an Air Force Design Award for the Squadrons Operations Complex at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico.
Mills joins an Ellerbe Becket Dallas office that provides architectural and engineering services to clients in Texas and the southwest region. The firm, which marks its 100th anniversary in 2009, is a leading designer of healthcare, higher education, sports and workplace facilities, with several significant buildings in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex and the state of Texas.
The firm designed the Texas Children’s Cancer Center & Hematology Service at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston in addition to other projects at East Texas Medical Center, CHRISTUS Spohn Health System, The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, and The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. Ellerbe Becket is currently working with the University of Oklahoma on its new Cancer Institute and on the new North Campus Expansion at Methodist Houston Hospital.
Ellerbe Becket's tradition of award winning project design and Texas roots continue to run deep, including the Smith Entrepreneurial Hall and Tucker Engineering & Technology Building on the Texas Christian University campus in Fort Worth, the Gerald J. Ford Stadium at Southern Methodist University and the Jones AT&T Stadium Renovation at Texas Tech University in Lubbock.
Mills has spent his entire professional career practicing in the Dallas area. He was a member of the City of Dallas Urban Rehabilitation Standards Board and the City’s Electrical Review Board. He earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
