Kar-Keat Chong, Amanda Olson and Shengyin Xu, graduate students in architecture and engineering, each received $2,000 Ellerbe scholarships from the Minnesota Architectural Foundation.

presented the winners with plaques and Ellerbe Becket gifts. The scholarship fund was endowed in 1981 to honor Thomas F. Ellerbe, FAIA, who led Ellerbe Becket (then called Ellerbe Associates) for 50 years.

The fund annually awards two or more scholarships to exemplary University of Minnesota architectural and engineering students in the final year of their Master’s program.
