Mission Critical Professional Tom Brink Joins Ellerbe Becket

October 24th, 2007

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Ellerbe Becket has named Tom A. Brink as its new Project Director for Mission Critical Facilities. He brings nearly three decades of critical systems, facilities management and construction project management experience.

Mission critical facilities are buildings that house and protect an organization’s key knowledge and data, and are vitally important in ensuring a company’s ability to quickly and reliably respond to the needs of customers and the marketplace. Generally, a project is considered “mission critical” if it involves vital areas such as server farms, power facilities, control and data centers.

Ellerbe Becket has designed and built mission critical facilities for companies of all types for 30 years. Brink will work with Ellerbe clients worldwide to develop solutions for complex facility challenges.

“Speed and reliability are keys to success in the mission critical world,” said Ellerbe Becket Vice President and Project Director Faye LeDoux. “Tom will help businesses that need a facility to be built quickly but still guard against problems caused by external factors such as power failure, extreme weather conditions and even earthquakes.”

Brink comes to Ellerbe Becket from State Street Global Real Estate Services where he was vice president of mission critical infrastructure. He was the senior consultant on all State Street fault tolerant mission critical operations worldwide.

He also has held key technology infrastructure positions with Bank of America and Allied Signal during his 25-year career.

An innovator since its founding in 1909, Ellerbe Becket is a leader in architecture, interiors, engineering and the construction industry, with office locations worldwide.
