Prior to rejoining Ellerbe, he worked for RSG Architects in Chantilly and Fredericksburg, VA. He previously worked for Ellerbe Becket from 1990-1999.
Currently he is working on the Specialty Teaching Hospital for the Qatar Foundation for Education Science and Community Development in Doha, Qatar. The new 2.1 million-gsf teaching facility is an acute care, freestanding women's and children’s health hospital.
In nearly 30 years of professional practice, Farella has worked on healthcare facilities ranging from clinical research buildings to ambulatory surgery centers, neurology clinics, MRI suites and digestive health centers.
He earned a bachelor of architecture degree from the University of Virginia.
