“The new courtside club strikes a clean and contemporary image while preserving the intimate social opportunities that make professional sports arena clubs the place to be,” lead designer Jon Niemuth of Ellerbe Becket said.
“The Courtside Club was done with the ultimate of class,” Mike Rotondi, Courtside Club Member said. “Courtside Members really appreciate how much the Celtics’ ownership has gone out of their way to let us know how important we are to the team.”
The Courtside Club provides an atmosphere of sophistication while catering to the needs of Celtics fans. There are plasma video screens, and audio systems tailored to guests in each seating group and a bar composed of internally illuminated acrylic and black Zodiac synthetic stone. An LED-based sports ticker on the overhead fascia of the bar will keep patrons up to date with breaking sports scores, statistics and news. The wood parquet floor is a reproduction of the actual Garden parquet court, and the room is trimmed with authentic basketball leather.
“The Courtside Club is an exciting enhancement to the Celtics game night experience,” Rich Gotham, Celtics Chief Operating Officer said. “We’re happy to provide our valued Celtics Courtside members with a unique venue to socialize and entertain guests before, during and after Celtics games. ”
