was honored recently by The Symposium on Healthcare Design.
Ellerbe Becket designed the new facility, which won a User-Centered Distinction Award as a project that “best reflects and balances the requirements of patients, their families and practitioners.”
The 90,000 sf center opened in January 2005 on Abbott Northwestern’s campus in Minneapolis. The design team worked seamlessly and collaboratively with administration, physicians and nursing staff from the start. The result was a calm, elegant and intimate environment for the patient, staff and visitors.
The Symposium on Healthcare Design and FacilityCare magazine sponsors the Distinction Awards.
An innovator since its founding in 1909, Ellerbe Becket is a leader in architecture, engineering, interiors and the construction industry with office locations worldwide.
