Catron Receives Project Management Certification

NEWTON SQUARE, Pa. – William Catron, Jr. of Ellerbe Becket has earned the designation of Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute.

PMP certification is the project management profession’s most recognized and respected global credential. There are more than 110,000 PMPs worldwide. The Project Management Institute, with nearly 160,000 members in 135 countries, is the world’s foremost authority for the project management profession.

To obtain PMP certification, an individual must satisfy education and experience requirements, agree to adhere to a Professional Code of Conduct, and pass the PMP Certification Examination. The PMP Certification Program supports the global community of project management practitioners and is designed to objectively assess and measure professional knowledge.

Catron is a Senior Project Management Professional (PMP) in Ellerbe Becket’s Washington, D.C., office. He is responsible for Ellerbe Becket’s project management in healthcare, higher education, government and historic preservation projects.

He received bachelors and masters degrees in architecture from the University of Florida. He is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards and is a member of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, the Association for Preservation Technology, the Construction Specifications Institute and the Project Management Institute.
