Ellerbe Becket Elects Board Members

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Ellerbe Becket shareholders have elected one new Board member and re-elected two more.

Jon Buggy, AIA, was elected to a two-year term and John M. (Jock) Holliman and Mark Zweig were re-elected to two-year terms. Holliman has served as Board Chair since 2003.

They join current Board members William Crockett, AIA, Carol Knuth Sakoian and Ellerbe Becket CEO Rick Lincicome, AIA.

Jon Buggy Buggy is a principal in the firm’s Minneapolis office and is national director of healthcare. He has been with Ellerbe Becket for 17 years, working primarily on healthcare, developer and corporate projects. His current and recent project involvement includes Target Plaza South in Minneapolis; Park Nicollet’s Heart & Vascular Center in St. Louis Park, Minn.; Abbott Northwestern Hospital’s Neuro/Ortho/Spine Patient Care Center in Minneapolis; and multiple projects at Sioux Valley Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. He currently is treasurer of AIA Minnesota.

John M. (Jock) Holliman Holliman has more than 20 years of experience in the venture capital industry with emerging companies in the southwestern United States. He is a general partner in Valley Ventures, L.P., a venture capital firm in Phoenix. He has served on the Ellerbe Becket board since 1994. He assisted in designing and implementing the company’s ownership restructuring plan in 1997 and has served as the company’s principal board advisor in finance/accounting areas.

Mark Zweig Mark Zweig is vice chairman of ZweigWhite, the leading management consulting, publishing and training firm in the design and construction industry. He’s a recognized expert on design firm management and publishes the Zweig Letter, the leading weekly management newsletter for industry professionals. ZweigWhite has twice been named one of Inc. Magazine’:s 500 fastest-growing, privately-held firms in the U.S. Zweig is a faculty member at the University of Arkansas Sam M. Walton College of Business, where he teaches entrepreneurism.
