Marx has 15 years of architectural and interior design marketing experience. For the past two years she owned and operated Nancy Marx Enterprises, LLC, a marketing and business development consulting firm for DC-area design and construction companies.
At Ellerbe Becket, she will use her considerable sales and marketing skills to help the firm build relationships with and acquire new healthcare clients on the East Coast. One of the country’s oldest and largest design firms, Ellerbe Becket is known worldwide for its health sciences facility expertise.
The DC office has just completed redevelopment of Stonewall Jackson Hospital in Lexington, Va. The firm’s work for Crozer Regional Cancer Center in Upland, Pa., won a Modern Healthcare Award. And Ellerbe Becket’s DC office currently is involved in a joint venture with SOM to consolidate and modernize the VA Medical Center Chicago (West Side).

Over the past two decades, Ms. Marx has concentrated on helping architecture, engineering and interior design firms generate and retain clients. She has been active in a number of industry organizations, including the American Institute of Architects, the American Society for Interior Designers, the International Facilities Management Association, the National Capital Healthcare Engineers Society, the Capital Area Society for Healthcare Planning & Marketing, the Chesapeake Area Society for Healthcare Engineering and the Society for Marketing Professional Services. She also is a past president of the American Cancer Society Annapolis Unit.
She earned a bachelor’s degree in liberal arts from Bradley University in Peoria, Ill.; and studied computer-aided design at Catonsville Community College in Catonsville, Md.
