Seattle Seahawks Stadium Wins Engineering and Contracting Excellence Awards

Seattle Seahawks Stadium has won an Engineering Excellence Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies. Ellerbe Becket did schematic engineering design for MEP, and collaborated with Seattle firm Skilling Ward Magnusson Barkshire on key structural solutions such as the arched trusses and structural steel rakers supporting the upper bowl. The award will be presented on March 18 in Washington, D.C.

The stadium also won a 2003 Merit Award from The Associated General Contractors of America in the New Building Category. The award will be presented on March 21 at the Aon Build America Awards Dinner during AGC's 84th Annual Convention. Turner Construction submitted the project for the award.
