A unique identity was created to provide a healing environment for pediatric patients and their families at Florida Children's Hospital.
The Nature Trail concept expresses a calming, natural environment; simulated trees and a large aquarium reinforce the natural setting. The corridor design is a meandering path through a forest, with functional areas such as the information desk, nurse station and patient rooms becoming the Visitor's Center, Park Ranger Station and Camp Cabins.
With input from child life specialists, visual cues were selected to appeal to patients and families.
