The Claremont Resort & Spa Renovation

Originally built in 1915, The Claremont Resort & Spa underwent numerous remodeling efforts over the years that were out of character with the hotel. After evaluating the historic facility, Ellerbe Becket created a master plan the resort will use as it grows and expands. The renovation itself doubled the size of the spa, created a new entry with landscaping, upgraded the design of the bar and restaurant and gave conference facilities a facelift. Renovations included seismic upgrades, as The Claremont sits on the Hayward Fault, a major branch of the San Andreas Fault.
