The Leavey Center replaces the old Toso Pavilion, home to the men’s and women’s basketball and women’s volleyball teams. The new and improved facility has everything: offices for the entire coaching staff, planning for a 50-m swimming pool, premium seating, media facilities, displays, new sound and lighting systems, weight room – the list goes on. The reconstruction’s already taken two years, and there are two more construction phases to finish by 2004. But when the result is an arena that is one of the best in the West Coast Conference, time goes by quickly.
