Newton Medical Center, Replacement Hospital

The medical center's 74-acre site encompasses a one-story hospital, attached medical offices and other structures. Designed with flexibility and expansion in mind, the hospital brings swing spaces, nursing units and departments together in an open-ended configuration around a "main street" corridor system. Because departments are located on the hospital's exterior walls, they can expand individually or together, and in small, planned increments.
