The three-story, multipurpose facility is home to the University of Miami men's and women's basketball teams. All seating is some shade of green, from dark UM green to lime. The overall effect creates a wave pattern around the arena.
For the first time an on-campus venue is hosting commencements, seminars and lectures, convocations, academic conferences, sporting events and pep rallies. The arena also serves the community with concerts, public lectures, business seminars and theatrical productions.
(The impact of the arena) is going to be more than any of us can imagine, even beyond home-court advantage. I think we all have visions, but this place will exceed them.
