The “prolegiate advantage” combines aspects of professional facilities with collegiate enthusiasm. Here at Maryland, it means offering sponsorships and premium fare: The naming rights deal secured with Comcast. Or Viacom’s donation of the scoreboard in exchange for advertising and premium seating.

Comcast Center offers its fans plenty of perks, too. There are 20 suites and 4,000 club seats. The entire arena is air conditioned. TVs line the concourse and the scoreboard tracks each player’s stats.
