Ellerbe Becket provided mechanical and electrical engineering services for this expansion to the existing Patagonia Distribution Center. It consists of an extension of the warehouse and a new Patagonia Retail store. What sets this project apart from any other warehouse in Nevada is its environmental response through efficiency and preservation of resources.
Certified LEED® Gold, the service center portrays Patagonia's philosophy, “To make the best product, cause no unnecessary harm and use business to inspire and implement solutions to the environmental crisis”. The project goes above and beyond the requirements of LEED® Rating System by utilizing multiple innovative strategies including high percentage of renewable power, exemplary recycling, water use reduction, user education and green housekeeping.
