The key goal in designing the new Stafford Hospital Center is to develop a highly efficient campus that is patient-centered, focused on safety and built with the most advanced technology. It has been designed with room to grow and, because of its location to Washington DC, with emergency preparedness enhancements.
The Stafford Hospital Center will provide diagnostic and treatment facilities, including cardiopulmonary services, imaging, and surgery. Its inpatient component includes 100 beds and maternity, a medical/surgical nursing unit, and ICU. The 12,500-square-foot emergency department will contain 4 triages, 14 treatment rooms, and a 450-sf trauma room.
