University Hospital

Dubai, United Arab Emirates

As the centerpiece of Dubai Healthcare City's Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Academic Medical Center, the University Hospital will define a new standard for healthcare excellence in the Gulf region. Developed in assocation with Harvard Medical International, this 400-bed hospital will be the main tertiary care facility located within DHCC, with a service mix consisting of inpatient and outpatient consultations and surgeries, imaging, laboratory and invasive procedures, and non-trauma emergency care.

Flexibility to meet shifting patient needs is a hallmark of the design, with universal rooms across all acute and intensive care settings. Special attention is given to design elements that enhance healing. Natural light, ample greenery and a rich assortment of first-class amenities will provide a healing environment for patients and a pleasant work environment for valued healthcare professionals.

Designed to interconnect between education, outpatient clinics and diagnostic service, the UH will create an image both internally and externally of modern healthcare delivery fused with the cultural traditions and forms of the region’s traditional architecture.

The University Hospital reflects an important partnership, leveraging the strengths of Harvard Medical International and other industry leaders in planning, architecture and design. The combined expertise will significantly impact every aspect of the hospital development.
