Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City

Kansas City, Missouri, USA

The new Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City resides on an exceptionally prominent hillside just south of the city’s landmark Liberty Memorial. The Bank is housed in a limestone-clad tower comprised of 12 office floors above a 2-story base containing its operations facilities. The office tower is shaped in such a way as to achieve a well-scaled and classically-proportioned civic presence, while at the same time appropriately deferring to the Memorial. Ellerbe Becket collaborated on the project with noted design firm Pei Cobb Freed and Partners.

It is my expectation that upon its completion, we will be prepared to serve our nation, this great city of Kansas City, and the other great cities and towns in the Heart of America.

Thomas M. Hoenig, President, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City
