Time Warner Cable Arena

Charlotte, North Carolina, USA

The Time Warner Cable Arena (formerly Charlotte Bobcats Arena) is designed to reflect the vitality of a world-class city and its world-class basketball fans. With proximity to restaurants, stores and transit terminals, the arena is home to the NBA Charlotte Bobcats and WNBA Charlotte Sting, as well as hockey, arena football, tournaments, concerts and family shows.

Charlotte’s outstanding support of the arts has been integrated into the design concept. The crescent shape of the arena is symbolic of the community embracing the event and an iconic signal that the team, city, and fans have arrived in Charlotte.

[The designers] have fashioned a building that fits into the city, offers a taste of its history and should enhance the urban fabric.
