Ellerbe Becket completed schematic design for the first phase of Sonoma State University's new recreation center, with the second phase to include a new student union. A plaza and activity area will unite the two buildings around a new "heart" of the campus, one that enhances the students’ sense of community, fitness and fun.
The center will house a large gym that can be split into two courts, an indoor running track, a small gym designed for indoor soccer, a game room, a spa and wellness center and a 40-foot rock climbing wall.
