West Georgia Health System, South Tower Expansion

LaGrange, Georgia

The South Tower Expansion will prove a new “front door” to the West Georgia Medical Center campus. It’s the first phase of a comprehensive redevelopment that will create new access, a new identity, new flexibility and a new foundation for growth for the West Georgia Health System.

The 130,000-square-foot project is on the south side of the existing campus. Designed for vertical expansion, the South Tower Expansion will ultimately accommodate up to 192 beds, plus a new 24-bed ICU, cardiovascular center, labor/delivery and mother-baby center and emergency department.

The building is designed to maximize natural light to create a relaxed, therapeutic environment that reduces stress and offers better comfort and support to patients and visitors. Incorporating natural woods, soothing colors, artwork and contemporary design elements, South Tower will include the comforts of home and the aesthetics and amenities of a fine hotel.

The South Tower Expansion represents a significant milestone for West Georgia Health System. The new facility will enable the health system to offer Troup County residents the latest, most advanced care close to home and for many years to come.
