Mayo Clinic, Scottsdale Clinic

Mayo Clinic Scottsdale, with its stone façade, rich, native colors and horizontal massing, blends with the terrain of the Sonoran Desert northeast of Scottsdale. The design incorporates Mayo planning principles and includes a telecommunications system and video conferencing center that can transmit and receive medical data and diagnostic images between other Mayo locations in Minnesota and Florida. To accommodate the multi-disciplinary, multi-group practice, the clinic includes 120 examining rooms, a pharmacy, cafeteria and an auditorium and houses 30 physicians.
