Bay Area Medical Center serves as a regional hub of advanced medical services, with an emphasis on diagnostic radiology, rehabilitation services, ambulatory surgery, obstetrics, cancer treatment and urgent care. Ellerbe Becket designed and built the first phase of a major expansion project that included outpatient services and an ambulatory surgery addition at the hospital's main campus.
The 71,100 sf expansion connects the existing hospital and clinic, increased the hospital's surgery capacity and introduced fixed-based magnetic resonance imaging.
