Kingdom Centre

Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

The most significant development in Saudi Arabia in recent years opened in 2003. Kingdom Centre, a landmark high-rise for the Middle East, is 300 meters (984 feet) tall, the same height as the Eiffel Tower. Nearly 200 team members in five countries and 20 cities have taken part in the design and construction. The retail mall and wedding/conference center were in use as the construction was finalized.

If I’m going to do something, I do it spectacularly or I don’t do it at all.

Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal Bin Abdulaziz Alsaud, from a Wall Street Journal interview
