University of Nevada - Las Vegas, Sports Renovations & Improvements

Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Sam Boyd Stadium and Thomas & Mack Center are two of the most consistently successful and profitable U.S. stadiums and arenas. They draw major concerts and events year-round, including all home games of UNLV’s Runnin’ Rebels football and basketball teams. Starting in 1998, the university teamed up with the Las Vegas Convention & Visitors Authority on major renovations that included a new events center, Cox Pavilion. The biggest challenge was coordination. With more than 200 events each year, the venues required the work to be complete in roughly half the time typical of such projects.
