University of Notre Dame, Main Administration Building Renovation

With its golden dome, the Main Administration Building is the most important and historically significant building on the University of Notre Dame campus. Constructed in 1879, it was designed to house the entire college.

Renovation included historic restoration and adaptive re-use of public areas, administration and executive offices. Goals of the renovation were to update building systems, repair damage resulting from the building’s age and bring its functions up to current standards for offices.
